Deli Fresh Marble Chocolate Halva, approx. 5.5lb
Deli-Fresh MARBLE CHOCOLATE Halva - Approximate weight: 5.5 lbs. LOAF
Derived from the Arabic word for “sweet”, the term halva (halvah) is used in countries around the world to refer to countless varieties of a sweet, nut-based confectionery. This type of halva is crumbly and usually made from tahini (sesame paste). It is a traditional sesame-based, dense, sweet, delicacy made exclusively from select sesame seeds which are ground in a traditional stone mill, in order to maintain the sesame's taste and flavor. Macedonian halva is produced from quality, natural ingredients and is regarded as one of the most nutritious and healthy natural foods. This is emphasized by the fact that the sesame seed is grown in the lush, fertile fields of Thrace. Halva can be eaten by itself or used to make a wide variety of ethnic desserts.
Ingredients: ground sesame seeds, glucose-fructose syrup, palm oil, vanillin, chocolate. May contain traces of peanuts or other nuts.
