Deli-Fresh Greek Myzithra Cheese - Approximate weight: 1.1 -1.4 lb

Myzithra (mizithra) (mee-ZEE-thrah) is similar to ricotta cheese but a little drier. In this salted, aged form it is the grating cheese par excellence of Greek cuisine, well suited for sprinkling over hot pasta. Myzithra is also eaten as a dessert with honey or as mezes with olives and tomato. It is used as a table cheese, as well as in salads, pastries and in baking, notably in little cheese pies and pita.
